Why Can't I Find Bamboo Sheets Anymore?

I had gotten a couple sets from Bed Bath & Beyond and the JCPenny Home Store that said 100% BAMBOO on the tags.. I love these sheets more than anything! But now they don’t seem to carry them, does anyone know where I can find this?

Bamboo versus Eucalyptus bedding?

I recently heard about bamboo sheets and all its benefits such as natural antibacterial qualities, fungus resistance and better water absorption than cotton. It is also touted for its environmental sustainability as it is really just a weed that grows back amazingly quickly. It also doesn’t require pesticide or fertilizer to grow. I learned that a there were a few companies touting rayon sheets made from bamboo as having the same qualities, which they don’t, and the Canadian Competition Bureau and the US Federal Trade Commission have been cracking down on that. Though to be fair, they are the same environmentally as far as sustainability goes, but rayon made from bamboo doesn’t retain the antibacterial or fungus resistance, it is just like any other rayon made from plant fiber at that point. I also learned that viscose is another word for rayon.

I’ve been told that bamboo sheets are as soft as cotton with a lesser thread count, but before I shelled out big bucks for sheet bought over the internet, I wanted to feel them. In my search for bamboo sheets in the store I found the Bed Bath and Beyond have recently stopped carrying bamboo sheets and have replaced them with eucalyptus sheets.

So my question (finally) is, can somebody give me the low down on what the deal is with eucalyptus versus bamboo? Why would I want eucalyptus bedding versus bamboo? Maybe point me at some information, because I can’t seem to find much information online.
